PlanTheSpace worked with a local coffee vendor to increase usable space of a converted residential shop. Further plans and projections were developed for a new mixed use building with commercial and residential space.
Phase 1: Old Abe's Coffee Co is housed in a converted single family home. The challenge was presented by the owner increase efficiency of the interior space and provide greater connection to the exterior space adjacent Cook Park.
Phase 2: The flexible zoning of the site and location within an opportunity zone makes it ideal for redevelopment. Plans and financial projections were put together to allow the owner to explore financing and acquisition of a neighboring site.
